About Us
Who are we?
By now you will undoubtedly know that we are called the “Elijah Fellowship”
. If you don’t, well, now you do.
The Elijah Fellowship is a group of young (and perhaps some not so young!) Chinese Christians. The majority of us are either university students or young workers. We belonged to the congregation of the Evangelical Free Church of Australia. We are one of many fellowship groups of this church.
Most people who attend the Elijah Fellowship are Christians. Non-Christians who are interested in finding out more about our belief are more than welcome to join us. We in fact encourage you to do so. You can email us, or, just turn up at one of our gathering.
The Elijah Fellowship is growing in size. We currently have around 70 members.

What do we do?
Like most group we organise many activities and do many fun things. But unlike other social group, the focus of these activities is to build up the spiritual maturity of each members.
So we have outdoor activities like bush walks, ferry cruise, BBQs/ picnics, roller-blade. Indoor activities like Christmas party, and the now almost annual steam boat event. (Ever had steam boat in a room with 70+ people!) Of course, there are extended activities like fellowship camp, which are always fun, memorable and spiritually uplifting.
We also meet up regularly to worship God, to learn about His Words, and to share, encourage and support one another in our journey towards maturity in Christ.
You can check out our activities on this site.
When and where do we do all these?
We generally meet three times each month on Saturday, usually at 4:30pm. If there is a fifth Saturday in the particular month, we sometimes organise specials activities.
The three regular gatherings each month, typically follow the following pattern:
First Saturday - Cell at Home. Each cell group meets up at one of the member's home and have bible study or activities.
Second Saturday - Assembly (at East Lindfield church). In this gathering, the whole fellowship meet for singspiration, prayers, talks, workshop, etc.
Third Saturday - Cell at Church. As the name suggest, we meet up at church and have bible study.
As our program may and do change from time to time please check out our actual program for the latest information.

How are we organise?
The Elijah Fellowship is divided into many small groups. We called these groups “Cell Groups”. We currently have 6 cell groups.
Each cell group usually has two group leaders. The leaders are responsible for running their respective group, taking care of administrative matters and leading bible studies. We sometimes also ask other members of the group to lead bible studies and to help out with other activities.
The fellowship also has a Committee. There are 4 brothers and sisters in the committee. The committee members are nominated during our annual general meeting (which is usually held in August).
The Committee is responsible for organising and overseeing the fellowship activities. It also deals with the more mundane financial aspect of the fellowship. It provides a link to the church as a whole.
